The new
micro-line®
C6713Compact-2 combines the highly reliable
and power-efficient floating-point TMS320C6713 DSP with Xilinx Spartan 6
FPGA up to LX150 complexity. The board now supports extra 256 Mbytes
directly-to-FPGA connected DDR3 memory and is equipped with robust square
connector pins. ___________________________________________________________________________ 02/2007 New micro-line ® C6412Compact combines Ethernet, USB and dual FireWire with powerful DSP and FPGA Its interfaces 10/100 Base-T Ethernet, 480 Mbit/s USB 2.0 slave and dual 400 Mbit/s FireWire as well as further universal interfaces ensure maximum communication flexibility. The 32/64-bit fixed point TMS320C6412 DSP runs at 600 or 720 MHz and calculates up to 5760 MIPS. Thus it is particularly well suited for high speed applications, such as image processing for example. The 64-bit wide databus between DSP, SDRAM and FPGA achieves an excellent data bandwidth between major data sources. Further resources are provided by the Spartan 3 FPGA with up to 4 MGates and up to 211 free programmable digital I/O pins. In addition to 256 bit wide high speed on-processor memory and 64 or 128 Mbytes SDRAM users profit from 8 or 32 Mbytes Flash EPROM with File System Software for the storage of user programs or FPGA design files. Optionally the board configuration can be delivered with PCI bus. Pin compatible A/D boards complete the system where required. Different Development Kits with application specific software packages simplify a quick and highly efficient start, e. g. DSP/FPGA Development or DCAM Video Processing Development. Standard versions are: micro-line® C6410CPU, based on TMS320C6410 DSP with 128 kByte internal fast L2 SRAM/Cache and 400 MHz CPU clock (3200 MIPS), equipped with 500kGates Xilinx Spartan 3E FPGA, 32 Mbyte SDRAM and 8 Mbyte FLASH memory micro-line® C6413CPU, based on TMS320C6413 DSP with 256 kByte internal fast L2 SRAM/Cache and 500 MHz CPU clock (4000 MIPS), equipped with 500kGates Xilinx Spartan 3E FPGA, 64 Mbyte SDRAM and 8 Mbyte FLASH memory micro-line® C6418CPU, based on TMS320C6418 DSP with 512 kByte internal fast L2 SRAM/Cache, 500 MHz CPU clock (4000 MIPS) and on-chip Viterbi Decoder Coprocessor (VCP), equipped with 500kGates or 1.6MGates Xilinx Spartan 3E FPGA, 64 Mbyte SDRAM and 8 Mbyte FLASH memory The FLASH memory allows non-volatile program -, data - and FPGA design storage, the included FLASH file system helps to store up to 1023 different files and to handle them easily from the PC via RS232. The FPGA of the C641xCPU can be used either with the default board support package (BSP) from ORSYS, or with individual custom designs based upon the FPGA development option. The default BSP from ORSYS allows to operate the C641xCPU as a standard micro-line® DSP board. In this case it is logically upward compatible to other existing micro-line® products such as the C6211CPU. With several pin-compatible analog, IEEE1394 or Ethernet communication boards, the C641xCPU can be expanded to a complex embedded system with a high I/O, processing and communication performance.
